The lot features a circa 1930-1950's Plains beaded Indian hide sheath with parfleche lining paired with a deer tine antler forged trade knife. The sheath shows a thick Indian tanned hide front which sinew sewn with a thick parfleche rawhide back lining. The front is covered in glass trade seed beads with a classic geometric pattern. The colors include red, blue, white, orange, teal and yellow. There is a bifurcated split thick Indian hide fringe at the bottom and original belt tie strap at the top. The knife is blacksmith forged with a clip point bowie style blade with blacksmith rivet pinned deer antler tine handle. The knife has a deep patina and the antler also has a nice patina. The sheath shwos some slight bead loss which exposes the sinew sewing. The back of the parfleche has some wear and nice coloring. Knife by itself is 11.5-inches long with the blade by itself being 6.5-inches long by 1.75-inches wide. The sheath by itself without fringes is 10.5-inches long by 3.5-inches wide. Bottom fringe is 5-inches long. Top belt tie is 11-inches long.
