Featured in this lot is a Carl Kauba, Bronze Indian Chief statue titled "Peace". Carl Kauba (1865-1922) was born in Vienna, Austria and is known for his bronze sculptures of Native Americans. Carl was a prolific artist, crafting masterpieces that captured the American West in all its greatness. The bronze depicts a Native American chief holding an eagle feather staff in one hand and a peace pipe in the other. The figure displays a large, eagle feather headdress and a long cloak across his left side. The piece shows wonderful attention to detail and is signed across the base reading "Kauba". The bronze is set on a black marble base. The statue shows great condition and would make a great addition to any collection. The piece measures 29 1/4" tall by 9 1/2" wide.
