For your consideration is this original, Charles Graham (American, 1852-1911) watercolor painting done in the 1894. Charles Graham (1852–1911) was an American illustrator and artist, best known for his work with Harper’s Weekly during the late 19th century. He produced vivid engravings and illustrations that captured scenes of American life, landscapes, and historical events, often blending accuracy with a strong sense of drama. Graham also traveled widely, sketching views of the American West, urban growth, and international scenes, helping to bring distant places and current events to the public. This watercolor painting shows a scene of Westward expansion with a group travelling the country side on a covered wagon. They have set up camp near the river and have started a fire for dinner and warmth. It is signed in the bottom left hand corner reading, "C. Graham '94". It is set in a gold colored frame and is matted once with canvas material. It shows good condition overall with little to no wear present. The visible artwork measures 10" L x 12 3/4" W, while the entire piece measures 18 3/4" L x 21 5/8" W x 1 1/4" D. It has a total weight of 4 pounds and 12 ounces.
