Russell was a well known American artist known for his depictions of life in the wild west as well as landscape scenes. The piece shows a group of female Indians taking a short break from travel to rest the horses and let a young fowl drink. The print shows blue cloudy skies with some mountains in the background and a pair of dogs in the foreground. The piece shows wonderful attention to detail and landscape. The piece is signed in the bottom left corner reading "CM Russell" with some of the frame blocking the signature. The piece is set into a nice wood frame with a rustic interior and is set with a rust red border. The print is in good condition overall with no signs of damage or wear.
