Offered in this lot we have a original oil painting of the Teton mountains signed by W. Gisin. Werner Gisin is a Swiss American painter (1918- 2006) who was known for his landscapes, particularly mountain landscapes. He has done a number of paintings depicting the Grand Teton Mountains and seamed to have a love of these mountains. This painting shows the Grand Teton Mountains in the background with a lightly forested area leading up to them. The painting shows detailed impressionistic art style and is signed "W. Gisin" in the bottom right hand corner. The piece is in good condition with minimal wear. It is set in a glint wood frame with a canvas border around the painting.
