Featured in this lot is this bank note or check signed by China Mary's second husband Quong Gu Kee or Ho Kee and Mrs. Lionel Jacobs and the check from Cochise County Bank circa 1887; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The bank note features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a note from the Cochise County Bank out of Tombstone, A.T. for $100.00 to be paid to Ho Kee also signed by Mrs. Lionel Jacobs who helped run the Pima County Bank with her husband. The condition of this Cochise County Bank note is well preserved with some damage in the way of a a star tear to the checks center right left of center and shows browning to the check consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this check is 3 3/8" x 8 1/2".
