The trees where Ringo was found shot to death, it was a clump of three "Black Jack" Oaks. It is near Turkey Creek on the old Wagon road that lead to the Chiricahua Mountains were the Smith's and Sanders were milling wood to sell in Tombstone in the 1880's. One of these Oak trees had fallen down and we were given permission by the Sander's to use the wood. I personally gathered this wood and had a craftsman hand-make these earrings. The cylinder of the pistol was fashioned from the Mesquite tree that shaded Wyatt Earp's Parker. California mining camp. I have been there several times and I gathered up some of the dead wood from off that tree." - Steven Elliot.
