The lot features a fantastic early Colt Single Action Army Bisley Model 1873 revolver showing a scarce .32-40 W.C.F. Winchester Center Fire caliber and was manufactured in 1907. The revolver shows matching serial numbers on the butt, trigger guard, frame and cylinder and marked on the barrel COLTó»S PT. F.A. MFG Co HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.ó along with "(BISLEY MODEL) 32 W.C.F." It has the two-lined patent dates of 1871, 1872 and 1875. The pistol shows a factory original blue finish 7 1/2 inch round barrel with blue finish ejector housing and Marbles 40 front sight. The original blue finish is believed to be 40-50% retained. The pistol also shows a cold blue finished cylinder, back strap frame, and trigger housing with bright colorful case hardened frame, thought to be a professional restoration, but could be original. Fine action and solid lockup. This is truly a wonderful American Frontier Old West Colt Single Action Army First Generation Revolver with unusual case hardening. The revolver is featured with the original set of oval Rampant Colt horse logo hard rubber checkered grips showing hones wear and age. The revolver shows a 7 1/2 inch round blue finish barrel with blue and case hardened finishes and Colt grips. The revolver would have been used by one of the iconic members of the American Western Frontier including gamblers, outlaws, gold-seekers, frontiersmen, fur traders, and the like. Unusual to see a .32-40 WCF caliber SAA that would pair nicely with a matched caliber Winchester Model 1873, 1886, 1892 or 1894 in .32-40. The firearm shows a serial number of 288417 and was manufactured in 1907. Curio and Relic, FFL transfer or NICS background check required. Bisley Model Colts are becoming very scarce with this example displaying well.
