The lot features a wonderful hide beaded tobacco belt pouch from the Northern Crow Native American Indians of Montana dating to the 19TH Century. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with full border of hide fringe showing whimsical glass trade seed beadwork on both sides in all period correct beads. The bag has a nice patina coloring and the beadwork shows sky padre blue, amber, maroon, greasy, pink, greasy yellow, cobalt and more. The piece is in good condition for its early age being sinew sewn and showing the original belt tie. Provenance: From a historic Eastern Montana American Indian Collection, where the piece was found to be an authentic original, one of the finest collections of American Indian weaponry and antiquities in Montana.
