Russell Museum and John Kleinschmidt. The photograph features a wonderfully and professionally crafted silver gelatin construction that shows the Gallery structure with Barry in the doorway and a Native American man standing beside him. The photograph shows an official tag with hand written note at the bottom that reads as follows: D.F. Barry Photographs of all noted Indian Chiefs Photographer 1316 Tower Ave. Superior, Wisconsin - Barry Gallery at Fort Buford - O'dell 1396-87. The photograph comes with copies of the original correspondence about the gallery between David F. Barry and John Kleinschmidt and discussed matters surrounding the gallery photograph. The condition of this D.F. Barry silver gelatin photograph is well preserved with a slight crease in the bottom right hand corner and shows some fading due to age but otherwise is in well preserved condition. The measurements of this photograph is 3 7/8" x 6". The collective weight of this photograph is under 4oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M.
