Featured in this lot is a Finnish Puukko carved bone sheath knife. The knife features a wonderfully and professionally crafted steel, carved bone and leather construction that shows a carved bone sheath with a bone knife handle that shows leather wrapping to the handle and the sheath. The knife itself is of steel construction and is marked as follows: J.L.S. A Puukko is a traditional Finnish knife known for its simple, functional design. It has a short, single-edged blade, typically around 3 to 5 inches, with a pointed tip and a straight or slightly curved edge. The condition of this Finnish Puukko knife is well preserved with some slight patina to the blade and wear to the bone sheath but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The overall measurements of this knife in its sheath are 13" x 2 3/8" x 1 1/4" and the blade length is 3 5/8". The collective weight of this Puukko knife is 6oz.*
