Featured in this lot is this collotype of the Barracks at Fort Lincoln attributed to David F. Barry born in 1854 and died in 1934. The photograph features a wonderfully and professionally crafted collotype construction that shows the long houses of the Fort Lincoln with soldiers standing post and under the porch over hang. There is a inscription that is very slight in the top left hand corner: Barracks - Fort Lincoln. The collotype comes complete with a museum or collector tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 O'Dell. The condition of this framed collotype is well preserved with some slight crease in the center of the photo and shows very minimal wear to the wooden frame. The measurements of this framed collotype is 8 1/4" x 14 7/8" and the visible photograph measures 6 3/4" x 13 1/4". The collective weight of this collotype is 1lb 2oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
