Featured in this lot are two, original prison intake forms, one from Deer Lodge Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana and one from Nevada State Police in Carson City, Nevada circa 1911. The documents were created when the convicts were received at the prisons. The first document from Deer Lodge Prison lists the prisoner as Irene Gilchrist #3652, who was convicted of receiving stolen goods in Laurel, Montana. She was sentenced to three years in prison November 2nd, 1911 and was received at the prison on November 5th, 1911. Other information is given on the document such as complexion, height, weight, marital status, name of parents, marks or deformities and more. At the bottom it shows Irene sitting on a chair as she gets her photo taken. The document shows good condition overall with little to no wear present and no signs of damage noted. It measures 16 1/4" L x 9" W. The second and smaller document shows an inmate who was sentenced to four years in the Carson City, Nevada State Prison for first degree burglary. No name is given but the Native American man was sentenced on October 23rd, 1911 and was received at the prison October 30th, 1911. The document gives other information such as height, wing span (stretch), head length and width, ear length, age, weight, build, teeth condition and more. One side of the document shows a photo of the man in a front facing and side facing position as he wears his number tag. The document shows good condition overall with little wear present and no signs of major damage. It measures 6" L x 6" W.
