Featured in this lot is this Tiffany & Co. "Col Samuel Colt Inventor" brass buckle. The buckle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted brass construction that shows the portrait likeness of Col. Samuel Colt the inventor of the colt revolver. The front of the buckle reads as follows: Police Depts Banks & Express Co. - Select - Col. Samuel Colt Inventor - Colt's MFG. Co. Patent Firearms - Hartford Conn. - Pall Mall, London S.W. The back of the buckle is marked as follows: A.J. Nash - A. Col - 221 Regent St. London England - Tiffany & Co. - A Gift from Colt - Rare Stones - Tiffany Broadway New York. The condition of this Tiffany & Co. brass buckle is good with a patina adorning the brass but otherwise shows a good overall condition. The measurements of this buckle is 2 5/8" x 4 1/2" x 3/8". The collective weight of this buckle is 156.6g.
