Featured in this lot is this Deer Lodge Prison hitched headstall and Crockett Renalde bit circa late 20th century. The headstall and bit is wonderfully and professionally crafted leather, hitched horsehair and aluminum construction that shows coverings of lengths of hitched horse hair with ear loos of round coils of hitched horse hair with newer looking leather for the frame and shows an aluminum Crockett Renalde bit that is marked with the markers mark on the inside of the shank with tooling to the outside of the shank. the condition of this Crockett Renalde bit and headstall is good with a slight crack in the bit but otherwise shows a good overall condition. The measurements of this bit and headstall is 24 1/2" x 5 5/8" x 2". The collective weight of this Crockett bit and headstall is 10oz.
