For your consideration are two agriculture books titled, "Department of Agriculture Report" (1869) and "Report of the Secretary of Agriculture" (1891). These books examine various topics relating to agriculture such as landscape gardening, apples for the Southern states, tea culture in the United States, recent progress in steam culture, American dairying, progress of industrial education, facts concerning Oregon, Donations to the agricultural museum, meteorology of 1869 and many more subjects. They show the same colored hard covers with the titles featured on the spine. The gold gilt has since worn away but remnants are still present. They show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years. Spines are loose and pages exhibit foxing throughout. They measure 9 1/8" L x 5 3/4" W x 2 1/4" D and have a collective weight of 4 pounds and 14 ounces.
