Featured in this lot is a limited edition, fine pewter sculpture by renowned sculptor Don Polland titled "The Silent Trail" made in 1986. This sculpture depicts a Native American on horseback descending a snowy trail past a dead tree wearing heavy clothes, a feather headdress and carrying his rifle on his lap. The front of the sculpture features the sculptor's signature and date reading "© Polland 86" and a metal plaque with the title on it reading "The Silent trail". The back is numbered "001" showing it is number one of a limited edition. The sculpture sits on a solid wood base. Overall the piece is in good condition with no signs of damage. It measures 6 3/4" L x 5" W x 9" H.
