The lot features an authentic original Pre-Historic Dovetail or St. Charles long spear point artifact. The paleo neo-lithic point comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Gregory's Antiquities which states this as being an authentic original St. Charles spear point dating from 9500 to 8000 B.P. The spear point knife blade shows a very fine Burlington Chert material having a soft red / pink coloring with beautiful matrix. The item has been examined, as stated on the COA, under a microscope and is indeed original. The piece shows a Grade of 9.5+ making it of the highest collectible nature. The piece measures overall 6 inches in length by 1 5/8 inches wide making it one of the longest complete points with a COA we have offered for sale. The piece has an appraised high value of $1,500.
