For your consideration is this EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) piece done by the McKee Glass Company circa 1930-40s. In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Samuel McKee and his brothers James and Thomas established the McKee Glass Company in 1834. Window glass, telegraph and lightning rod insulators, and hollowware like bottles and fruit jars were among the company's initial offerings. After relocating to Jeanette, Pennsylvania, in 1888, the factory amalgamated with the National Glass Company. The McKee-Jeanette Glass Company was the new name given to the business in 1901. The business reorganized as McKee Glass Factory in 1903. McKee glass produced from 1930 until 1942, with the exception of Rock Crystal, which was continuously issued in crystal. This is a stunning EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) rose bowl by McKee. The pattern exhibited on the bowl is called "Snappy Clear" and consists of cut flowers and pressed glass. Geometric shapes and designs flow nicely around the bowl. It shows good condition overall with little to no wear present. The piece measures 25" in circumference and 6 3/4" in height. It weighs 4 pounds and 4 ounces.
