Featured in this lot is this Vintage Blue Grayish Reef petrified coral specimen. The petrified coral specimen is wonderfully and professionally crafted construction. Blue corals are the only members of the Order Helioporacea, Family Helioporidae. They are also the only members of the soft corals (Subclass Alcyonaria) that contributes to reef-building, like hard corals do. The condition of this petrified coral is well preserved with very little chipping and some breaks seemingly natural but otherwise is well preserved. The measurements of this coral is 8 3/4" x 9" x 6". The collective weight of this coral specimen is 6lb 2 oz.
