Featured in this lot is this early 1886 edition of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain originally published in 1875. This volume was published by the original publisher and features the artwork of the original illustrator, True Williams. In "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", Twain portrays the life of a twelve year old boy growing up in a fictional town in Missouri, along the Mississippi River. The book has a blue cloth cover with gilt and black decorative stamping on covers and spine and gilt titles. The condition of this book is preserved with very slight wear to the outside cover of the book with little wear to the inside spine but shows browning to the pages consistent with the age of the book. The measurements of this book is 8 3/4" x 6 3/4". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 14oz.
