The document is a Certificate of Authority for the State of Texas for a Mathew Leefrer and certifies him as a sworn Indian Agent for the State of Texas using the Authority as The President of the United States of America and includes his official signature at the bottom and includes the Secretary of Interior signature underneath that. The condition of this signed Indian Agent certification is well preserved with its folds present from original storage before frame, and the frame features minor wear and one obvious chip in the gilt paint.
