For your consideration is this early 1899 printing of Mark Twain's 1876 novel, "Adventures of Tom Sawyer". This volume was published by the original publisher and features the artwork of the original illustrator, True Williams. In "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", Twain portrays the life of a twelve year old boy growing up in a fictional town in Missouri, along the Mississippi River. The book has a blue cloth cover with gilt and black decorative stamping on covers and spine and gilt titles. The book is in good condition for its age, showing wear and tear to the covers and slightly loose hinges; additionally, the last page and endpaper are loose. The book measures 7" x 8.75" x 1.25".
