Offered in this lot we have a collection of early Native American coffin trade knives originating from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. This collection consists of six unmarked coffin style trade knives. The knives show steel blades with two piece walnut and other dark hard wood coffin grips. Three of the knives feature a clip point blade while the other three are straight back. All of these unmarked knives are constructed with brass rivets that have a nice green patina that has faded into the hard wood grips. The knives show good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. The largest knife measures 13 5/8" long with a 9” long blade and the smallest knife measures 11 ½” long with a 6 ¾” long blade.
