Featured in this lot we have a Big Sky Carvers hand carved Puffin. This original carving was made in Manhattan, Montana. The carving depicts a beautiful Puffin standing on top of a burl wood base. All puffin species have predominantly black or black and white plumage, a stocky build, and large beaks. They shed the colorful outer parts of their bills after the breeding season, leaving a smaller and duller beak. This carving shows good condition with a brightly colored bill. The carving shows a small dent on the front left of the figure. It measures 12” x 11 ½” x 5”.
