Offered in this lot we have a collection of early Native American coffin trade knives originating from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. This collection consists of seven unmarked Indian trade knives with two piece handle consturction. The knives show steel blades with two piece hard wood grips. Two of the knives feature a clip point blade while three are straight back and the last two are skinning blades. All of these unmarked knives are constructed with either steel or brass rivets that have a nice green patina that has faded into the hard wood grips. The knives show good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. The largest knife measures 15 ¼” long with a 10” long blade and the smallest knife measures 8 3/8” long with a 4 ½” long blade.
