This is an original Echo Ukrainetz batik titled "Amos Two Bulls Sioux Backstage". The piece shows a wonderful depiction of Amos Two Bulls who was a performer for Buffalo Bill's Wild West show in the late 1800's. From the Artist: "Amos worked for the Wild West (show) in 1900. The Wild West Audiences were universally fascinated by Native Americans. Cody's shows were much more than mere spectacle. They offered the general public a unique, personal experience of Native American history, culture, and lifestyle. Through entertaining, the Wild West (show) laid the foundation for the entire "Western" genre of books and movies in the twentieth century". Echo Ukrainetz is a native Montanan artist who creates fine art batiks. Her artwork is represented by numerous galleries and she has been accepted into some of the most prestigious auctions and shows including the C.M. Russell Auction, The Yellowstone Art Museum Auction, The Hockaday Museum Timeless Legacy, Briscoe Museum, and many more. She has been awarded First and Second Place at the Phippen Show and is part of the Past Award Winners Show at the Phippen Museum. The batik shows wonderful detail and artistic interpretation. The piece has been signed by the artist in the lower right. It shows very good condition and has been professionally matted and framed. The artwork measures 20.25" x 21". The frame measures 30" x 30". Echo Ukrainetz has been featured in the C.M. Russell Art Auction with achieved prices in excess of $10,500.
