Featured in this lot 19th-century Red Deer Stag mount originally attributed to Eckartsau Castle, Austria. The mount features a wonderfully and professionally crafted taxidermy construction that shows a pair of antlers from a Red Deer Stag that shows a typical mount with six points or tines per antler and shows a bronze shield that they are mounted on that reads as follows: S/K Denney 1989 - May 26, 1891. The bronze shield is mounted on a hard wooden shield for easy wall hanging. Provenance: From a prominent ex-Bozeman private collection who purchased the majority of his collection from Cowan's, Skinner, Bonhams, Morphy's, Sotheby's, March in Montana, North American Auction and other well revered auction houses. The condition of this Red Deer stag mount is good and shows no obvious signs of damage and shows a good overall condition. The measurements of this stag mount is 48 1/2" x 43 1/4" x 28 1/2". The collective weight of this stag mount is 27lb 4oz.
