Featured in this lot is this El Paso, Texas prostitute Fanny Garner Young America Safety Hammer .32 cal Black Powder Cartridge revolver circa 1887 with saloon tokens and was displayed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The revolver features a wonderfully and professionally crafted chromed construction that carries a .32 cal black powder cartridge and is etched on the frame handle of the revolver as follows: Fanny Garner El Paso, Texas (with a heart engraved). The serial number is found underneath the peal handle grips as follows: 659. The Safety Hammer is marked as follows: Patented April 5.1887. The revolver can remover the cylinder with the peg unscrewed and comes with an original museum tag that reads as follows: El Paso prostitute's gun engraved "Fanny Garner" with a heart on backstrap and "El Paso, TX." on the butt plate. Fanny Garner was a well known prostitute in El Paso. Fannie rose from being a teenage prostitute in San Antonio to owner of one of the Wild West’s most luxurious brothels by her early twenties. Her Sporting District “boarding house” on Durango and San Saba streets featured silk sheets, plush carpeting, fine glassware, and chilled champagne—especially for high-profile outlaws like Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, Kid Curry, and others from the Wild Bunch. The condition of this Young America Safety Hammer revolvers is well preserved with the action cycling properly with some slight patina adorning the original chrome but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this revolver is 3 5/8" x 5 1/2" x 1". The collective weight of this revolver and tokens is 10oz. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
