Featured in this lot is this Fort Sully South Dakota Officers Row and Parade Grounds boudoir card circa 1866-1894. This is both a rare and unseen image of Fort Sully during the Indian Wars by a noted photographer of the area. The boudoir card features a wonderfully and professionally crafted card and silver albumen construction that shows the officers row and parade grounds of Fort Sully with buildings in the distance. The boudoir card is marked on the front and the back as follows: Officers Row and Parade Grounds at Fort Sully - Andover. The condition of this boudoir card shows some rips to the card and a piece missing out of the bottom of the card and to the bottom right corner with very little fading to the photograph due to age but otherwise is preserved. The measurements of this boudoir card is 5 3/4" x 8 3/4".
