Featured in this lot is an Original Signed Gary Zaboly "Curley, Crow Scout of Custer's Command 1876" Pen and Ink drawing framed, circa late century. It depicts the 20 year old scout who narrowly escaped death at the Battle of the Little Big Horn with Lt. Colonel George Armstrong Custer and the Seventh Cavalry on June 25, 1876. Curley was the last man to see Custer alive. Gary Zaboly is a highly acclaimed American historical illustrator and author, widely considered by curators to be the unofficial official artist of the Texas Revolution. Known for his meticulous, museum-grade attention to detail, his work brings gritty realism to pivotal moments in early American and frontier history.
