Featured in this lot we have a hand woven Tohono O'odham 'Man in the Maze' coil basket. The Tohono O'odham is a Native American tribe located in southern Arizona and are known for there basket weaving. The basket shows the design of the man in the maze in black and off-white weave, along with the original makers tag. The 'Man in the Maze' also called I'itoi symbolizes life and ones journey. The tag is marked with the name of the weaver, information on the history of the baskets and basket care. The piece shows good condition and measures 9 1/2" in diameter and 2" tall.
