Lot containing two early Harrington and Richardson .38 S&W caliber revolvers with holsters. The first is a Hammerless model with rare and unusual 6” barrel with serial number 118127. By the address markings on the barrel top and serial number it can be determined that this fine revolver was made in 1913. Normally, this model is found with a short barrel and was made for concealment. The hammerless design was intended to make for a snag-free draw from a pocket or purse. For this reason, the long 6” version was made in very limited numbers and is rarely seen. This example is excellent mechanically with bright bore. It retains nearly all the original nickel finish with original bright blue trigger guard. Original oversize H&R grips are excellent with one chip at the upper back strap. Included with this revolver is a period open-face/spring-holding shoulder holster that appears made for this model. The holster is in fine overall condition and is unmarked. Shoulder holsters for this period in history are rare and desirable in themselves. The second Harrington & Richardson revolver is the .38 S&W caliber Auto-Eject model with 3 ¼” barrel, serial number 52262. By the serial number and markings it appears that this revolver was made between 1898-1905. The address and last last patent date of 1896 are clearly stamped on the barrel top. It retains most of the original nickel finish with some light flaking mainly on the cylinder with excellent original H&R hard rubber embossed grips. It needs some action work and an ejector to be complete and functioning. The barrel assembly is complete. It comes with a “Red Head” marked leather holster in fine condition. The revolvers weigh in total 3lbs 2oz. Serial Numbers: 118127 & 52262. Both firearms qualify as a Curio & Relic firearms, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
