For your consideration is this beautiful, 1908 Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Model 87 Special Roadster bicycle. Iver Johnson Arms & Cycle Works was an American company that produced firearms and bicycles in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1883 by Iver Johnson and, after his death, continued by his sons and later others, eventually liquidating in 1993. The company was known for its inexpensive but reliable revolvers, particularly the Safety Automatic, and also produced bicycles, initially under the name of Lovell Diamond, before eventually becoming their own brand. This bike shows an all black frame with the original Iver Johnson badge on the front of the frame. It features its original wood fenders on the front and back wheels and its original wood rims on both tires. The handles are made from wood and wrapped in black stained leather. Attached to the handle bar is a bell which rings when the lever is pushed down. It features a full brown leather seat and Universal Tire Company tires. On the bottom of the frame is the serial number reading, "126198". This is a rare, and well kept bike showing good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. It measures 71 1/2" L x 21 1/4" W x 40" H. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. HW223
