For your consideration is this beautiful, original J.A. Kirkpatrick (1898-1984) oil on canvas painting circa mid 1900s. Kirkpatrick was a North Dakota artist best known for his Western cowboy works of art. This painting shows three cowboys plowing, moving cattle and directing a woman and child away from a fire and large storm happening in the distance. The woman and child are standing, watching the fire in distance while cows are herded by to the left of them. The bottom left of the painting is signed by the artist reading, "J.A. Kirkpatrick" in white paint. The painting is set in a rustic wood frame. The painting and frame show good condition overall with some wear present on the frame but no signs of obvious damage is present. The visible art measures 22 7/8" L x 35" W, while the entire piece measures 29" L x 41 1/16" W x 1 5/8" D.
