Featured in this lot is a J Stevens & Co break action No. 12 tip up rifle chambered in .32 caliber. This tip up rifle features a 24" thick octagonal barrel, nickel finished frame, and walnut stock. The side of the barrel is marked "J Stevens & Co. Chicopee Falls Mass. Pat. Sept 6 1834", with the top of the barrel marked "32. W". The receiver shows a deep patina and the frame shows a warm nickel finish. The barrel shows a covered front sight and adjustable rear sight. The straight grain walnut stock shows good condition for its age, with small dents and dings associated with age. The rifle has a steel crescent butt stock. Serial Number: 8036. This firearm qualifies as an Antique and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
