This lot features an original rare Stevens Model No. 43 Diamond .22 single shot competition pistol dating from circa 1886-1898. The handgun is chambered in a .22 Rimfire caliber and shows a steel frame with longer grip having smooth walnut factory original inserts. The piece shows a round 6-inch (4.5” round and 1.5” octagonal) barrel with a globe front sight and sporting rear sight. The pistol is marked across the side of the barrel "J. STEVENS A. & T. CO. CHICOFEE FALLS. MASS, U.S.A.". The grips frame shows three holes used for mounting an attachable stock. The pistol shows a nickel-plated steel frame retaining some of the original finish and the barrel retaining some of the original blue showing. This pistol shows good mechanical condition with some pitting and rust across the piece. Serial Number: 25066. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
