For your consideration are two fire & police badge catalogs from The John Robbins Manufacturing Company and an unnamed company catalog from the late 1890s to early 1900s. Between 1841 and 1843, John Robbins began carrying out baggage checks. Robbins was originally based in Boston but eventually relocated to Attleboro, Massachusetts. It is unclear when Robbins stopped conducting baggage checks. They both show catalogs of various fire and police department badges as well as baggage checks, coat hook checks, key tags, chair & door number plates, key rings, blank tags, mayor badges and many more. The unnamed catalog shows a blue paper cover with black lettering reading, "Badges For Fire & Police Departments Also General Use / Catalog No. 33", while the John Robbin catalog shows a tan colored paper cover and lettering reading, "Catalogue of The John Robbins MFG Co. / Baggage Checks, Key Tags and Badges / Steel & Rubber, Stamps, Stencils, General Engravings On Metal / 58 Kneeland St. Boston, Mass.". They both show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The unnamed measures 9 7/8" L x 6 7/8" W x 1/4" D, while the smaller John Robbin's measures 9" L x 5 7/8" W x 1/4" D. They have a collective weight of 10 ounces.
