Featured in this lot is this Keystone View company stereoview titled, "How much ob dis road am you 'titled to, suh?" from 1899. The Keystone View Company, founded by B.L. Singley in 1892, a former Underwood & Underwood salesman, was a major distributor of stereographic images and stereoscopes. Initially, it specialized in selling stereocards, particularly of the French Creek flood, but quickly expanded to include national and international geographic and social science images. By 1905, Keystone was the largest stereographic company globally. This stereoview shows two men who have just had an "accident" on the road. One is in blackface with the title reading, "How much ob dis road am you 'titled to, suh?" insinuating that the man on the bike ran into the other. Apples and bike parts are scattered on the road as the men gather themselves. The stereoview reads, "Keystone View Company Manufactured and Published / Meadville, Pa. St. Louis, Mo. / Copyright 1899, by B.L. Singley". The title is translated into various languages on the back. The stereoview shows good condition overall with some slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no signs of major damage is noted. It measures 3 1/2" L x 7" W and weighs under 6 ounces. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. HW38
