This is an excellent fully beaded cradle board papoose from the Kiowa Native American Indians and dating to circa mid 1900's. The piece shows a heavy thick Indian tanned hide construction with dark stained and brass covered tack wood slat frame. The entire baby cradle area is covered in early authentic geometric traditional beadwork showing glass trade seed beads in lilac, red white hearts, black, blue, and opaque white. The edging and ties are of a lilac or light purple silk. The piece appears to be in good overall condition and displays very well. Measures overall 18"L x 6.5"W x 4.5"D.
