Featured in this lot is this L.A. Huffman collotype called "After the Buffalo Run" originally from 1879. The collotype features a scene after a Buffalo Run with dead buffalo on a snow covered field with two unmounted horses with the rifles in their scabbards. The bottom of the collotype is hand written with: After The Buffalo Run North Montana 1879 - L.A. Huffman. The condition of this L.A. Huffman collotype is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage to the collotype and shows minor wear to the frame. The measurements of this 10 5/8" x 8 5/8" and the visible collotype measures 9 5/8" x 7 5/8". The collective weight of this collotype is 14oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
