The lot features a set of fully beaded men's leggings from the Lakota Sioux Native American Indians and dating to circa early to mid 1900's. The set shows a red stroud trade clothe early construction with plaid flannel trade clothe calico lining and early glass trade seed beads. The set shows the original Indian tanned hide tie straps and is covered in glass trade seed beadwork in a geometric pattern showing a chalk white base with cobalt, semi-transparent sky blue, semi-transparent green, faceted brass, semi-transparent red and greasy yellow. The set shows overall good condition with little to no bead loss. Provenance: From a large American Indian collection in Idaho Falls, ID. Each legging measures 15.75"L x 8.5"W when laid flat.
