The lot features an original photograph showing a grouping of Lakota Sioux Native American Indian men and woman dating to circa 1880 to early 1900's. The Lakota Sioux in the photograph are all wearing impressive dentalium shell and Elk Ivory accented clothing or dresses and long hairpipe bone beaded breast plates. One of the Lakota is holding a purse or sign that reads, "Don't Do With Your Hands What Machines Will Do (and CTH or CHT)". Also seen is a wonderful concho belt trailer and silver coins on the blouse. The photograph is in very good original condition and is of an early age. Truly a wonderful piece most likely taken in Montana, Wyoming, or the Dakota's. Measures overall 7"x 5 1/8".
