Featured in this lot is this glass trade seed beaded harness leather belt from the Lakota Sioux tribe, circa 1890-1900. The belt shows a wonderfully preserved harness leather construction decorated with geometric patterns of glass trade seed beads, including colors of sky blue, greasy blue, dark blue, greasy Cheyenne pink, greasy red, greasy green, and chalk white with red trade seed beads. The harness leather is very thick and has patina and wear consistent with the age of the belt. The condition of this belt is good, with some missing trade beads and trade thread repair. The measurements of this harness leather belt are 30" x 1 1/2" x 1/8".
