The lot features a thick hide and wool, large pipe bag with glass trade pony beads from the Montana Blackfoot peoples, dating to circa 1960-1970's. The bag is constructed of commercially tanned, thick, dark brown hide with a dark blue wool inner lining and geometric pattern of beadwork, along with long, thin hide fringes. The beadwork is all glass trade pony beads with a greasy white background and pattern in black, corn yellow, and red. The top has a hide draw string with old Venetian 4-layer chevron and wound trade beads. The piece has a nice large size and is in good overall condition. This is a late 20th Century example. Measures overall 30" L by 6.25" W.
