Featured in this lot is an original photo of Machomich Mercantile and various ephemera from the shop in Tombstone, Arizona Territory from 1900-1910s. The Machomich Mercantile shop was a prominent business in Tombstone in the late 1880s and early 1900s, providing various goods to the towns people. It was managed by the founder and owner J.D. Machomich. The photo shows Machomich Mercantile Shop between 1905 and 1910, managed and owned by J.D. Machomich. Numerous display cases can be seen, filled with various items. A stand showcases a woman's dress, while other items being sold can be seen throughout the floor of the store. The other ephemera includes a a marked button hook from the Machomich Mercantile, a Machomich Mercantile token and a Machomich Mercantile cosmetic jar lid. The button hook is marked reading, "Machomich Mercantile Co. Inc. Shoe Department". The token is marked reading, "Machomich Mercantile Co." but the purpose of the token is unknown. The cosmetic jar lid is marked on the top reading, "Compliments of Machomich Mer. Co. Tombstone". The pieces of ephemera and the photo show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The photo's visible photo measures 5 1/8" L x 7 1/8" W, while the entire piece measures 8" L x 10" W. The button hook measures 5 1/8" L x 1" W, the token measures 7/8" L x 7/8" W and the lid container measures 2 3/8" L x 2 1/8" W x 3/8" D. They have a collective weight of under 6 ounces.
