For your consideration are four cabinet card photos of men posing with their bikes in various studios across the country from the 1880s-1890s. The first photo was taken by H.A. Talmadger in his studio in Edgerton, Wisconsin in the 1890s. It shows a young man sitting on his bike as his photo is taken in the studio. The bottom of the photo is marked reading, "F.A. Talmadger / Edgerton, Wis.". The second photo was taken by Adlington in Viroqua, Wisconsin, showing a young man standing behind his bike in the Viroqua studio. The bike features a carbide lamp and a leather pouch on the center support beam. The photo is marked on the bottom with the photographer's name and location of the studio. The third photo was taken by Dean in Buffalo, New York in the 1880s. This photo shows a middle aged man in the studio posing next to his bike as he holds one hand on the handle bars and the other in his pocket. The bottom of the photo is marked with the photographer's name and the location of the studio. The fourth and final photo shows no photographer or studio mark, but shows another young man balancing on his bike as he gets photographed in a studio. The photos show good condition overall with some slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. They measure 6 1/2" L x 4 1/4" W and have a collective weight of under 6 ounces. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. HW100 HW148 HW151 HW223
