Featured in this lot is this collection of 46 Montana & Native American photo postcards, used and new, circa 1903-1930s. Most of the postcards are black and white, a few of the photo postcards are hand-colored, a photographic practice that was in its infancy notably made famous by the Haynes Studio of Yellowstone National Park and St. Paul, MN. Images are of many small Montana towns and scenes including Hot Springs, Anaconda Smelter, State Capitol Helena, Mt. Helena, Virginia City Court House, Ruby MT, The Giant Springs Great Falls and many more. Various Native American scenes and photos are included as well. Some post cards have been stamped and written on while others remain blank. The postcards show good condition overall with wear present from their age and use over the years but no signs of obvious damage is noted. Some postcards are set in plastic sleeves to preserve their condition. The post cards measure an average of 3 3/8" L x 5 3/8" W.
