Featured in this lot is this RARE sedimentary Hemicidaris Intermedia fossil. The Hemicidaris Intermedia is wonderfully fossilized in a sediment base with the specimen clearly shown on the top of the sediment base. Hemicidaris is an extinct genus of echinoids that lived from the Middle Jurassic to the Early Cretaceous. Its remains have been found in Africa, Asia, and Europe. The condition of this fossil is well preserved with some wear to the stone the item is fossilized in but the fossil itself is in well preserved condition. The measurements of this fossil is 2 1/2" x 3" x 2 3/4". The collective weight of this fossil is 8oz.
