For your consideration is this large map of Montana, Edition 1264, published and copy-righted by the National Map Company circa 1940-50s. This is a highly detailed map showing counties, towns, rivers, highways, relief marks for mountain ranges and smaller more detailed maps of Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park. The bottom left of the map shows the title and publishers and below that an index showing the area, population and an extensive list of counties and towns shown on the map. There is also a legend showing the different transcontinental and state highways and their names. The map tells the viewer the counties are hand colored, but the map shows no coloring present. It shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no signs of major damage is noted. Slight tear on bottom left, but has been taped over on back of the map, edges show wear. It measures 42 1/8" L x 51 1/4" W.
